Winter

Birds, Raptors & Peaceful Landscapes

Winter transforms many Texas ranches into important habitats for resident birds and seasonal visitors. Cooler temperatures often bring increased activity from raptors and waterfowl, while many songbirds become easier to observe.

You may encounter:

Spring is one of the most exciting times for wildlife photography in Texas. Migrating birds return, native plants bloom, and many animals begin raising their young.

Summer

Nesting Season & Young Wildlife

Summer brings longer days and the chance to observe growing families across many species. Early mornings and evenings often provide the most active wildlife periods during warmer months.

Possible photography opportunities include:
